Manchester United’s hectic summer transfer activity makes one thing clear: boosting their attacking firepower is the club’s top priority.
The Red Devils have already secured Matheus Cunha in a £62.5m deal after his impressive 15-goal campaign for Wolves last season, marking a major step forward in their offensive rebuild.
Next on the agenda appears to be Bryan Mbeumo. The Brentford forward outshone Cunha in 2024/25, netting 20 Premier League goals and leading the line with authority for the Bees.
But United’s attacking overhaul won’t stop there.
United offered chance to land Moise Kean for £44m
Following a disappointing season in which Rasmus Hojlund was the club’s top league scorer with just four goals, the club is intent on adding more goal threats.
According to *Stretty News*, Manchester United have now been offered the opportunity to sign Moise Kean, with talks underway involving his representatives.
Kean, who has rediscovered his form in Serie A, could reportedly be available for £44 million. While he struggled during his stint with Everton—managing just four goals in 39 appearances—the 25-year-old has since transformed into a lethal striker, scoring 19 league goals last season and 25 in total across all competitions.
Whether the deal moves forward depends on manager Ruben Amorim, who will have the final say. But sources say Kean is eager to return to the Premier League and sees Old Trafford as an ideal destination.
Kean and Mbeumo could be a deadly pairing
Should Amorim opt to bring in Kean, the Italian forward could form a dynamic partnership with Mbeumo. While Mbeumo is capable of playing as a central striker, his creativity and versatility have made him equally effective on the wing—where he created 17 big chances for Brentford last season.
That setup could allow Kean to lead the line as the primary striker, feeding off the service from Mbeumo and others. With Thomas Tuchel once describing Kean as “fearless” during their time at PSG, there’s reason to believe he can thrive under the pressure of a move to Manchester United.
Scout Jacek Kulig has also praised Kean as a “top-class” talent, and after proving himself back in Italy, he’ll be eager to silence any lingering doubts from his time at Everton.
United’s attack is rapidly becoming one to fear—and adding a red-hot finisher like Kean could be the final piece to Amorim’s revamped frontline.
