BREAKING: Manchester United to Confirm Signing of French Teen Striker on Free Transfer
Manchester United are on the verge of officially signing Enzo Kana-Biyik on a free transfer.
Back in April, *Manchester Evening News* revealed that Kana-Biyik had travelled to Manchester to complete the deal, and only minor formalities remain before it’s finalized.
The transfer is awaiting final regulatory approvals, after which United will make the move official.
The 18-year-old striker is joining from Le Havre, following a similar path to Paul Pogba, who also arrived at United as a teenager from the same French club. Unlike 16-year-old Harley Emsden-James—whose signing from Southampton went under the radar—Kana-Biyik’s arrival is expected to be formally announced.
While Ineos-owned FC Lausanne-Sport have been linked with a potential loan move for Kana-Biyik, no such arrangement has been confirmed yet.
Kana-Biyik didn’t make a senior appearance last season but was part of Le Havre’s first-team environment. He made a strong impression at youth level, scoring nine goals in 16 appearances for their U-19 side while also training regularly with the senior squad.
To help the young talent settle, United’s academy staff—already experienced in integrating French-speaking players like Mali’s Sekou Kone—have taken French lessons to improve communication and provide better support at Carrington.
