Manchester United are on the verge of officially signing Enzo Kana-Biyik from Le Havre on a free transfer.
According to the Manchester Evening News, Kana-Biyik recently traveled to Manchester to finalize the move, and only a few minor administrative steps remain before the deal becomes official.
Unlike the quiet signing of 16-year-old Harley Emsden-James from Southampton, United are expected to formally unveil Kana-Biyik, 18, once everything is completed.
Though Ineos-owned FC Lausanne-Sport have been linked with a potential loan deal for Kana-Biyik, no loan move has been confirmed yet.
The young striker, who is following in the footsteps of Paul Pogba—also signed by United from Le Havre—trained with the French club’s senior squad last season but didn’t make his debut. However, he made a strong impression with 9 goals in 16 games for their U19 side.
