JUST IN: Manchester United have officially confirmed the signing of a £110 million Brazilian superstar on a contract running until 2029. Medical tests are scheduled for this morning – congratulations, United fans!

Under new boss Rúben Amorim, the club is clearly focused on revamping the attacking lineup. They’ve already secured Matheus Cunha from Wolves and are actively pursuing Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo as another potential addition this summer.

Despite several gaps in the squad that Amorim is determined to fix, there are bright spots — including the late-season revival of Casemiro, who has returned in excellent condition ahead of pre-season.

Another forward United have approached is former Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin, now a free agent. According to Caught Offside, the 28-year-old is demanding a £100,000-per-week wage to join the club.

With Rasmus Højlund still developing, United are looking for experience and Premier League know-how — both of which Calvert-Lewin offers. Despite his injury issues, he has netted 71 goals in 273 appearances for Everton and could add valuable depth.

While there’s no transfer fee involved, Calvert-Lewin’s salary expectations could be a hurdle. One potential solution for United would be to propose a lower base wage with performance-based bonuses as incentives.

If he joins, Calvert-Lewin would likely be used in a rotation role alongside Cunha, Højlund, Zirkzee, and possibly Mbeumo. United are still cautious, however, due to his injury record — though he did enjoy more consistent playing time last season and remains a powerful presence when fit.
