Manchester United Table Improved £60m+ Offer for Brentford Star Bryan Mbeumo
Manchester United have increased their offer for Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo to over £60 million, according to journalist Duncan Castles.
After their initial £55 million bid was rejected, the Red Devils have returned with an improved package as they continue to strengthen Rúben Amorim’s attack. United have already secured Matheus Cunha as their first summer signing and are now pushing to land Mbeumo, who is also attracting interest from several other Premier League sides.
Castles revealed on the *Transfers Podcast* that Tottenham, Newcastle, and Aston Villa are all monitoring the 25-year-old, following his exceptional 2023/24 season. Mbeumo netted 20 goals and contributed eight assists in 38 league appearances, significantly exceeding his expected goals tally.
United are not only trying to act quickly but also looking to beat the competition for the Cameroonian international before his value rises further. However, Castles noted that Brentford aren’t expected to make a quick decision despite the sizable offer.
Mbeumo, who has just one year left on his current deal (though Brentford retain an option to extend it until 2027), is now seen as increasingly likely to leave this summer.
To help fund the deal, United are prepared to offload several attacking players. Marcus Rashford, Antony, Alejandro Garnacho, and Jadon Sancho are all reportedly available, with the club prioritizing permanent exits—particularly for Sancho, after Chelsea declined to activate their purchase option for the England international.
